Get advice from colleagues such as Carla, the school registrar; Kiana, the guidance counselor; and Gerald, the school principal. Get to know your intrepid, curious, meme-loving 8th graders. Make fun of Elyas's shoes. And, most importantly: make the difficult decisions that teachers make every day.
